1 peter 1:24-25 For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.”
Psalm 39: 4-5 “Show me, Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is. You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Everyone is but a breath.
James 4:14 you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
Eccl. 3:20 All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return.
Gen 3:19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.”
Psalm 103:14-16 For he knows how we are formed; he remembers that we are dust. The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.
These are words taken from the Bible. The greatest History book ever written. It tells His-Story. It begins before time. It tells us that, In the beginning, God created everything that exists, the whole universe and everything in it, after He created the earth, he created Man:
God Loves us
Gen 2:7 Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
Do these verses in the bible mean that we have no more value than dirt? No! They mean that life is very short compared to eternity. It goes by quickly. As for our Value, God loves us more than anything on earth, or in the universe. How do we know this?
Gen 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
29-30 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.
Eph 1: 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love
So, God created everything, then he made humans and gave it all to us to care for and to enjoy. He made us in His image, A little lower than the angels, not equal to God, but a reflection of him. Why?
Because He could. Because He is God. He loved us so much, He gave us dominion over everything that He created. All he wants from us is to love him, to acknowledge that He is Who He Is, (“I Am that I Am”) and give Him alone our worship. The word Worship comes from two words, Worth & Ship, it means to give Worth to something, something worthy. But soon after He created us, we quickly forgot who God is and instead of worshiping Him, we became distracted by His awesome creation, we began to worship the things he created.
Clay is a form of Dirt that comes from the ground. It is worth almost no value of itself. But when a Potter mixes it with water and molds it, shapes it, maybe even paints it, it can become a beautiful vessel that can be admired or even used for a useful purpose. God’s creation is Amazing, wonderful, Awesome, but He is more than what He made. Imagine, an artist who creates a beautiful work of art. Instead of praising the artist who made it, we praise and adore the art. What is greater, The potter or the clay?
Worship the Creator, Not his creation.
The Grand Canyon is one of Gods many beautiful creations. I have been blessed enough to hike down to the spectacular turquois waterfalls in the Havasu area. I was so amazed by what I saw, I wrote these words in a song.
“I look at your creation and can’t believe my eyes. The canyon walls and waterfalls, the birds, the trees the sky. Their beauty takes my breath away and draws me close to You. How you carved and shaped them all, Lord I know it’s true. That You bring the clouds and rain that make the rivers flow, to keep the birds and trees alive and make the flowers grow.”
It’s Ok to love and to enjoy Gods creation, but not more than Him, the one who made it. When we worship God’s creation instead of Him, that is called Sin. Anything we put above God, is Sin.
We have been separated from God by our Sin
Rom 1:20-21 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.
When we don’t worship God, when we live our lives as though everything revolves around us, we choose to be the god of our own life. That is sin.
God cannot allow Sin in his presence because He is Holy. There is only one God and it is Him.
Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
1 john 1:8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
So, we have all sinned and that sin has separated us from our creator. We know God Loves us and made us to be with Him forever but because we have chosen to sin, we can’t. He is Perfect therefore cannot ignore Sin. Otherwise, He would not be perfect.
God loves us too much to allow us to be separated from Him forever, so He provided a way for us to be reunited with Him. Our sin that keeps us from Him had to be dealt with.
Rom. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Jesus himself paid the price of Death for our Sin. It had to be paid, we could never have removed the barrier between us and God, But God could.
God can save us
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
1 john 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Eph 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.
Our sin owned us! But God can redeem us, He can buy us back, but the cost was extremely high. It was to allow His only son Jesus who was with him forever to leave heaven and come to the earth that he created, to live a perfect, sinless life here and then to take our sins upon himself and die in our place, to pay for our sins.
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”.
God has paid the price to buy us back to himself. It is a gift that He offers everyone, but not everyone accepts His gift, not everyone will have their Sins removed.
God loves us so much that he gave each of us a free will to choose. Some will choose not to accept His gift of forgiveness and sadly, they will die separated from God forever by their own choice.
Those who choose to receive His gift, need only to acknowledge their Sin and their need for God’s forgiveness. Give Jesus His rightful place as God in your life, allow Him to come into your life. He will put His spirit inside of you and change you. He will make you a new person.
2 Cor. 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
Confess (admit) that you have sinned and Repent (stop sinning) and let Jesus be your Lord (Seek to know Him).
Read the book of John in the New Testament. It starts out …
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
Remember in the beginning when God said, let us make man in our image? Now you know who He was talking to. Jesus has always been with God; Jesus is God as is His Holy Spirit. They are three in one.
The Bible is His-story The written Word of God, Jesus is The Living Word of God and as you read the bible you get to know the living word as well as the written word.
If you have accepted Jesus into your life as your Lord and Savior, He has put His Spirit inside of you and He will open your eyes to see and your ears to hear things you could never see or hear without Him. The bible will make sense to you more than before and God will speak to you through His word.

Give the first part of everything that God gives you, acknowledging that everything we have is a gift from God. We are only stewards of the things He allows us to have. Manage them well For His glory.
Tell others about Jesus’s Love.
This is the greatest message that I could give to my family, friends.
I leave this as my legacy. If one person confesses their sins to God and asks Jesus come into their life because of me, my life will have made a difference and I will rejoice with them in heaven one day. I hope that person is you!
Love,
David
1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.
2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
Rev. 21:1-4 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
A New Heaven and a New Earth
5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
6-8 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
The New Jerusalem, the Bride of the Lamb.
22-27 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
3-5 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.
17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
